The highly anticipated International poker stadiums poker Tour (ISPT) that was slated to take place in the months of August and October has been postponed until 2013. The news was communicated by Groupe Bernard Tapie, the organizers of the event.

The organizers had hoped to attract as many entrants to the tournament that was to feature €600 buy in. The tournament was to be played through an online satellite before trimming the number of participants to just 30,000 players. Many pundits were intrigued by the new concept suggested by ISPT, and it was highly anticipated on how the tournament will turn out, but the inability of online poker rooms, proved to be the major obstacle in finding the threshold number of players. The organizers are still determined to hold the tournament and are now expected to be held on May 31st 2013. The prize money for the tournament still remains as €20 million, and the organizers want the tournament to be remembered as one that broke all the records.
